- I am still trying to determine the number of sites that were on full alert (missile and warhead ready to launch) during the Cuban Missile crisis in October 1962.  Most likely Sites 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 were fully completed and on alert.  The remaining 7 sites still need to be verifed.  If you have any insight to the status of these sites during that time period, please send me an email.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Still going through newspaper articles trying to find Atlas Missile stories.  I have been side tracked by a few other projects.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
I have added a page 'Historic Timeline' and have summaries of articles from January 1960 about the selection and construction phase of the missile sites.  This is just a start, more to come ---- stay tuned.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
I am very interested in obtaining any candid pictures during the construction or operational periods for these sites.  If you have some pictures or know of someone who does, please click the email address in the 'Contact Me'  button below.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
If you have any information, pictures or stories about the missile sites around Plattsburgh, please send me an email.  I want to collect as much information as possible about these sites.
